2024 Gamay Noir Reserve

We have always loved Gamay, but we didn’t recognize just how special it was until we took a side quest through Beaujolais. On a summer trip visiting family in France, we decided to drive through the Gamay holy land on our way to a wedding. After spending a few days tasting through the different subregions and producers, it was clear we had fallen head over heals for another varietal. Now we make 3 different styles of Gamay every year! This reserve bottling spends the most time in barrel, with some whole cluster and slight influence of new oak. Our favorite Cru in Beaujolais is Juliénas, which inspires the stylistic approach to this wine every year. It follows suit of our traditional fruit forward winemaking, while wading into the waters of a richer, fuller wine with elegant structure. Perfectly balanced and geared toward California Cuisine of all sorts.
